WHY ME

"Cos Google can't teach your dog to sit - I can"

The passion behind Gray’s K9 Academy began when I was just 14. My family adopted two puppies, and instead of sleeping in, I was instructed to tag along to puppy classes. Little did I know, I’d get totally hooked. Local trainers quickly spotted my enthusiasm and offered me a weekend gig helping out. What started as a way to earn some pocket money soon snowballed into a full-blown passion—and eventually, a career. Later, while serving in the South African Air Force with Squadron 19, I became actively involved in the K9 unit, where I qualified as a SANDF dog handler. After my service, I worked in various training facilities, helping dogs of all backgrounds find balance, confidence, and clarity. Three years ago, I began volunteering at a well-known animal rescue shelter that offered puppy socialisation and basic obedience classes. Watching those classes reignited the fire that started at 14 and set me on the path to becoming a full-time professional dog trainer. Today, Gray’s K9 Academy is built on that journey—experience, empathy, and a genuine love for helping dogs and their humans find harmony together.

EXPERTIES AND EXPERIENCE

With hands-on experience in training and behavior modification, I work with all kinds of dogs, from energetic puppies to rescues with complex behavioral issues. My background includes training with military K9 unit, search and rescue dogs, and volunteer work at top animal rescue organizations. I bring this wealth of experience to every session, ensuring your dog receives the best possible care and training.
